History
Our jewelry store in Manitou
Springs, Colorado, was open for ten years from 1977 to 1987. My
husband, Lee, my three sons and I worked very hard in Colorado to
ensure excellent quality and to provide the best service for our
customers. My oldest worked as a silversmith and even Brian,
who was only five when we opened our store tried to sell rings
while sitting on a stool. Since our return to California,
my husband and I have continued our jewelry business doing mail
order and showing at high-quality art and craft shows.
I have moved to Oregon. My
hubby, Lee passed away 2 years ago and I am adjusting to single life.
I keep busy teaching jewelry designing. I also have lost 50 pounds.

We are still designing new and
more elaborate "woven" pieces of jewelry. The individual pieces of
liquid sterling silver and gold filled will not chip or peel. Many of
these necklaces have several drops of crystal. Each necklace is
distinctive and unique.
A new and improved lighter BJ
I made a white clam shell necklace
for my son Joe, who is 40 something and had never wore one before. It
did not break or lose color, it just stayed beautiful. I believe that
natural beads and shells are the most durable items used for
designing jewelry and that is the main reason that I still am
creating new necklaces, earrings, and bracelets, 20 years after we
opened our doors in Manitou Springs. I would love to hear if anyone
came into my store when we were open in Colorado and have comments
about my jewelry. Janice H. from Chicago was one of my best
customers, having bought jewelry from me for 15 years. She recently
wrote me, " I have been a customer of Barbara Freyermuth for many
years and have ordered many lovely items from her. Her workmanship
has always been excellent. She has never failed to describe all items
with great accuracy. I have been very satisfied with the quality of
all her jewelry and with the manner in which she conducts her
business. I continue to be a customer."
I make limited quanities of
each design so you won't see my necklaces being sold in department
stores. I can create special orders of bead, shell, or crystal
necklaces in various sizes and colors. I can also make any liquid
heishi necklace using either sterling silver or 12K gold filled
longer or shorter for a small additional charge. Standard necklace
size is 15" unless stated otherwise.
